Last updated

Supermemory is a memory and context engine with a hosted MCP server, SDKs for building apps, connectors that import documents and email, and a self-hosted option. Memlo is a hosted MCP memory server focused on the agents you use: Claude Code, Codex, claude.ai, ChatGPT and other MCP apps share memories that agents save on purpose, each with its own history. Pick Supermemory if you need SDKs, document connectors or self-hosting today. Pick Memlo if you want curated, versioned memories that your agents and your team share.

How Supermemory works

Supermemory takes in text, files, web pages and conversations. Each item goes through extraction, chunking, embedding and indexing, then a step that merges it with what's already stored. Search combines vector similarity, full-text search and a graph, and a profile tool gives agents a short summary of the user.

For agents, Supermemory hosts an MCP server and documents setup for ChatGPT, Claude Desktop and claude.ai, and Cursor. Its Claude Code plugin loads profile context at the start of a session, searches on each prompt, and saves the conversation after each response.

How Memlo works

Memlo is an MCP server at https://memlo.ai/mcp. You add it to each agent and sign in once. Agents get tools to save, search, read, change and retire memories.
